For more than ten years, Eileen has administrated the business affairs of Praise. In addition, she is a veteran sound technician and also serves as our Worship Director. Not content to just oversee the worship teams, Eileen passionately leads a team herself. For this is where her heart is.... in worship.

Al Dore' ~ Church Custodian

We have been privileged to have Allan with us for many years now. Few men I know exemplify as he does, Ephesians 6 where we are exhorted to work "as unto the Lord". Allan has been involved with a number of ministries at Praise.  He is a man that exudes a joy which is literally contagious, and we are richer because of him.

Reverend Michael Koppes ~ Senior Pastor

With unbridled zeal and a passion to be diligently about the Fathers work, Reverend Mike and Lisa have put their hands to the plow.... and have broken into a full run!
Pastor Mike is ordained under Elim Fellowship of Canada and is the Senior Pastor here at Praise. Together, he and Lisa oversee and shepherd the body of Praise. As one, they endeavor to carry out the mandate that God has deposited within them to the furtherance of His Kingdom. 
The call God has placed on Pastor Mike's life is evident as he roars forth the word of God like a young lion. They are truly, tireless in the work of the Kingdom, brazen and belligerent toward the powers of darkness, willing and able to take a bite out of any hapless demon that ventures too close. 
Truly God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. (Heb 11:6) He rewards us with the desires of our heart in accordance with His will.
He is so faithful!
It was the great Apostle Paul who once said:
The course is set, the race has begun. We end in glory...

 

Reverend Charles Butler ~ Associate Pastor

A servant's heart... pure and simple.
One that is fueled by a passion for the lost.
Infused with the humility of Moses, yet not a Moses, but a Joshua...
This is the heart of Pastor Chuck Butler.  Pastor Chuck holds credentials with Elim Fellowship of Canada and began ministry in the field of missions. As almost a rite of passage, Africa was first stop.
Since those early days, the Lord has seen fit to move Chuck into a pastoral position here at Praise. Yet as Associate Pastor the flame of missions still burns brightly.
This is God's design, for where there is a pastor, there is a missionary also. The difference is geography. 
A servant's heart rejoices in the work of his Master, inundated by the Spirit with a passion that all may come to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus.

Our History

Founding Pastor of Praise Fellowship Church, and Senior Pastor for twenty two years, was Rev. John Lubbers. 

Rev. John and Edie saw the church grow from a handful of people gathering for meetings in their basement to a congregation that is bursting the seams of our latest church facility built only in 1992.
Originally from Wallaceburg, Rev. John and Edie moved to Chatham and started a mobile ministry called "Transport for Christ". Quite literally a ministry on the move, it involved a tractor trailer, where the trailer was a church! Sporting logos on each side proclaiming "Safety is of the Lord" and "Salvation is of the Lord" the church with 18 wheels traveled a circuit from Windsor to Toronto for two years, ministering at many stops along the way.
1974 marked a year of beginnings. The fledgling seeds of what was to become a brand new church in the Chatham area, began as prayer meetings in basement of their house.
The meetings grew and in 1977 Rev. John became ordained under Elim.
With the purchase of our first building in 1977, Praise Fellowship Church was officially born.
