Welcome to Praise Fellowship Church!

Thank you so much for taking a look at PFC.  PFC is a growing, vibrant, Jesus-centered church where we believe God has a dynamic purpose for your life and having a community of believers around you is a part of that purpose.  We know God is doing great things at PFC and we hope that you come and see all He is doing in the lives of our family.

Our Sunday morning service is at 10:30 am

Our Monthly Sunday evening Worship service (1st Sunday/month – except holiday weekends) is at 7:00 pm

At our Sunday morning service you will be welcomed warmly by a friendly group of people committed to making you feel at home.

We have children’s ministry available, as well as a nursery for infants and toddlers.

We love to worship to music, as the Bible says, in Spirit and in truth.  As a matter of fact, we’re known for our expressive and passionate worship experiences.  During our time of Worship we sing unashamedly together for the praise and glory of Jesus Christ.

When visiting PFC you can count on receiving a message focused on the Bible that you can directly apply to your life for living in today’s world.

Our History

The founding Pastor of Praise Fellowship Church, and Senior Pastor for twenty two years, was Rev. John Lubbers. Rev. John and Edie saw the church grow from a handful of people gathering for meetings in their basement to a congregation that is bursting the seams of our latest church facility built only in 1992.

Originally from Wallaceburg, Rev. John and Edie moved to Chatham and started a mobile ministry called “Transport for Christ”. Quite literally a ministry on the move, it involved a tractor trailer, where the trailer was a church! Sporting logos on each side proclaiming “Safety is of the Lord” and “Salvation is of the Lord” the church with 18 wheels traveled a circuit from Windsor to Toronto for two years, ministering at many stops along the way. 1974 marked a year of beginnings. The fledgling seeds of what was to become a brand new church in the Chatham area, began as prayer meetings in basement of their house. The meetings grew and in 1977 Rev. John became ordained under Elim. With the purchase of our first building in 1977, Praise Fellowship Church was officially born.
